Product Strategy

Digital Product Strategy Before Development Begins.

A building needs an architect before construction starts. A digital product needs the same: clear thinking about the problem, the users, the workflows and what to build first.

Jain InfoTech helps founders, businesses and organisations turn ideas and operational problems into a practical product strategy, an MVP roadmap and a development-ready plan.

Business first. Product architecture second. Technology follows.

Why strategy comes first

Software Development Should Not Start With Coding.

Before a building goes up, an architect understands its purpose, users, budget and constraints. Then comes the plan. Digital products need the same discipline, because changing a plan is cheap and changing software is not.

We help you answer these questions before you invest in development.

  • What problem are we solving?
  • Who will actually use it?
  • What belongs in Phase One?
  • What can wait?
  • Can existing tools solve part of it?
  • What business model supports it?
  • Which technology fits?
  • How will we validate the idea?
Two ways to begin

Two Types of Product Strategy.

It depends on whether you are creating something new or fixing a process that standard software no longer handles well.

Track A

New Digital Product

For founders, companies and organisations creating an app, platform or digital business.

  1. Identify
  2. Research
  3. Users & market
  4. Business model
  5. MVP
  6. Validation

We use the same structured thinking we apply to our own venture concepts.

Track B

Custom Business Platform

For an existing business whose workflow has outgrown standard software.

  1. Real workflow
  2. Information needs
  3. Keep it simple
  4. Automate
  5. Reuse software
  6. Custom only where needed

Around 30 years of hands-on experience in distribution, trading and operations helps us find the smallest solution that solves the real problem.

Business before features

We Understand the Business. Then We Define the Product.

We don't just ask which features you want. We work out what system the business actually needs, then turn that into a structure your technology team can build from.

What we study

BusinessBusiness and revenue model, dependencies, partners
UsersTarget users, roles, customer journey
WorkflowCurrent process, pain points, data flow, existing tools
TechnologyConstraints, integrations, AI opportunities, regulations

What we define

Purpose & usersWhy the product exists and who it serves
WorkflowsCore journeys, information architecture, business rules
ScopeFeature priorities, MVP, Phase One versus later
ImplementationData, integrations, automation and build priorities
MVP thinking

Build the Smallest Version That Can Prove the Idea.

An MVP doesn't need to look complete. Its job is to produce evidence about users, workflows and commercial viability before you invest more.

Custom software isn't always the first answer. Sometimes a spreadsheet, a simple CRM, a no-code tool or a manual pilot proves the idea faster. When that's the case, we'll recommend it, even if it means less development.

  1. 1Manual pilot
  2. 2Spreadsheet or simple CRM
  3. 3Existing SaaS and integrations
  4. 4No-code or prototype
  5. 5Small custom MVP
  6. 6Full custom platform
From idea to development

A Structured Journey From Idea to Development.

Each engagement turns an unclear idea into a clear decision and a development path.

  1. 01Initial discussionUnderstand the idea, the problem and the requirement.
  2. 02Define the engagementAgree the scope, deliverables and a fixed proposal.
  3. 03Research & analysisStudy the business, users, market and workflows.
  4. 04Product architectureDefine users, workflows, structure and rules.
  5. 05MVP & roadmapSet Phase One, later phases and the build path.
  6. 06Decision pointBuild, test smaller, reuse software or wait.
  7. 07DevelopmentIf justified, build with the right technology partner.

Product Strategy is a separately scoped engagement. If the project moves into development, the build scope, technology partner and commercial terms are agreed separately.

What you receive

A Clear Plan Before You Spend on Development.

The exact deliverables are agreed before the engagement begins. The aim is always the same: less uncertainty before bigger spending.

  • Problem analysis
  • Market and competitor research
  • Opportunity definition
  • Business and revenue logic

Users & experience

  • User profiles
  • User journey
  • Workflow architecture

Product definition

  • Product concept
  • Feature priorities
  • MVP scope
  • Functional requirements

Development direction

  • Technology direction
  • Development brief
  • Phased roadmap
  • Pilot and validation plan
Technology execution

From Plan to Build, With the Right Partners.

Once the strategy is clear, we help take it into development with suitable technology partners: UX/UI, web and mobile apps, backend and APIs, cloud and AI implementation.

We can stay involved in product logic, scope, partner communication, testing and rollout. Founder-led. Partner-powered.

AI where it adds value

Use AI Where It Improves the Product.

AI can help with analysis, search, recommendations, reporting, classification, support and automation, wherever there's a clear business purpose.

AI should solve a defined problem, not be added because every product is expected to have it.

We use it ourselves

The Same Discipline Shapes Our Own Ventures.

We apply this process to our own concepts. They are at different stages, and we say so honestly.

Who it's for

  • Founders with a serious app or platform idea
  • Businesses planning an app or platform
  • Companies outgrowing standard software
  • Organisations building a community or marketplace
  • Teams exploring AI-enabled software
  • Anyone who needs to know what to build first
Questions

Common Questions Before Starting.

Do I need a complete product idea before contacting you?

No. We can start with the business problem or opportunity and shape the idea together.

Can you help define the MVP?

Yes. Defining the MVP and what belongs in Phase One is a core part of the engagement.

Do you also develop the software?

Development is coordinated directly or through suitable technology partners, depending on the requirement. Product Strategy and development are scoped separately.

Will you recommend existing software instead of building something new?

Yes. If an existing tool, a no-code solution or an integration solves the requirement more efficiently, that is what we will recommend.

Do you still help with CRMs and sales or partner networks?

Yes, as part of Product Strategy. If a simple CRM, a WhatsApp-to-spreadsheet workflow or a partner-sales pilot is the right first step, we design it as the MVP.

Can you help with AI products?

Yes, where AI has a clear business purpose and suits the product.

Next step

Have an Idea? Architect It Before You Build It.

Tell us about the problem, product idea or platform you're considering. We'll help you work out the next practical step.
